Geosynthetics is a group of building materials, whose primary task is to improve the properties of land, obtained through the strengthening, protection against erosion and regulation of water.
Geosynthetics may have a different structural form and raw materials (flat or 3D products, structure of the wovens or nonwovens textiles, nettings, made of plastic, natural fibers or metal, occurring in a homogeneous or combinations called geocomposites)
Depending on local soil conditions and the intended effect, is the selection of materials from the different types of geosynthetics taking into account the functions performed by different types, and their detailed parameters.
